Price was reasonable. Once I bit into my taco I was in heaven the salsas they put on it were so delicious! The taco was very flavorful and juicy! I was very very happy with my experience. Staff was friendly! Will be coming back VERY SOON!!

Fremont, CA 6/22/2014 "My first time here as I read all the good reviews from Yelp and I can't wait to give a try tonight. I was greeted by very friendly staff and she explained everything on the menu patiently. I decided to try the carne asada burrito bowl tonight, it filled with fresh lettuce and well seasoned steak, you can choose black or pinto beans (I picked black beans, yummy) Spanish or brown rice, and mild/hot salsa. The hot salsa I picked was soooo good, pretty spicy but perfect for my liking. I also added a scoop of the guacamole for 75 cents, it was a bomb. Everything is so fresh and tasty! This is probably the best burrito bowl I had in the Fremont area. They def beat Chipotle and no wonder they have 5 stars review. I will definitely return soon to try out other items on the menu! Support the local business! Come give a try!

They offer shrimp, brown rice, and wheat tortillas if you like a lighter option. I had the shrimp chipotle burrito. Spicy but very good. This place appears owner operated and is extremely clean. A total hidden jem worth checking out. I just ate a Al Pastor burrito and a Carne Asada quesadilla, and I adored each. The flavor blew me away. I want more and plan on eating one of everything on their menu. Simple, fresh, and I am totally a new fan of this place. My girl got the steak and shrimp burrito, she is lovin it. Being Latin she is picky and she likes that burrito a lot. For her what makes this place stand out is The shrimps were not small at all, but big and worth it, and most important for her, the shrimp was deveined. That is quality. I waited while they completed a 20 burrito order... A plus. Means it's known and good. Owners were super nice....another plus. They make you feel welcome and it's clean, you can tell they care. Local and I could run there...another plus. If I want something quick I'm comin here. Next up for me...the breakfast burrito."

While Cal Eats is not a super authentic Mexican taqueria, the food is solid and enjoyable and the service very friendly. I ordered a carne asada burrito and a couple of tacos. Like Chipolte, they offer a variety of options for building your burrito (whole wheat or flour tortillas, pinto or black beans, choice of rice, etc.). If you live in the neighborhood, Cal Eats is a welcome addition and worth a try."

We were trying to eat light and ordered the burrito bowls versions and hot dog burrito for our son. Meat was well seasoned and freshly cooked along with fresh tomatoes, onions, guacamole and sour cream. It was overall delicious and to top it off he offered us pineapple infused water. Menu looks a little like Chipotle with the bowl option. short menu. eats: blacken fish taco (2.95) -fish looked a large fish stick, yellow colored not blacken tasted a little cold, obviously previously frozen. -fresh cole slaw, pineapple bits interesting taste. reg tacos 1.75 crumbs: -friendly, looks family run...."

Yes, I'm Asian and I LOVE Mexican tacos! This place is Americanized, but it's ok...super delicious! I come here at least once a week, if not..more! :) I always order the steak tacos. Simple, delicious, and it's a perfect amount of everything! Recently tried the fish tacos and I regret not trying it sooner! The size of the fish is pretty big too for a taco and it's very refreshing! Thanks guys for being awesome! Try this place if you haven't already!!!! :)"

San Ramon, CA 5/30/2014 "Great experience began when I was greeted by an employee who explained the menu and thanked us for coming in. This was my first visit and I enjoyed the blackened fish taco. I took a bite from my fiance's steak quesadilla. Fish taco: two corn tortillas filled with a solid piece of fish seasoned little too salty for my liking but was fresh. The fish sat on top of a bed of crisp cole slaw. And the fresh pineapple salsa was the perfect complement to the fish. Great size for the price. Carne asada quesadilla: on wheat tortilla was simple but well prepared. I only had a bite but the meat was so tender. I think it was cheddar mix cheese (Orange color) which is more of Americanized thing. Sides were guacamole, sour cream, and green salsa. Green salsa had nice acidity and flavor but my fiance and I agreed it was heavily salted. Place is small, was formerly Korean restaurant. Food is served on metal platters reminding me of chipotle. Fresh tasting Mexican food with less grease feeling of the standard taqueria. Overall, I'd definitely return! I hope they become a staple in the neighborhood."
