Cal Eats History
Established in 2014. After working for a major Mexican restaurant chain in the Bay Area for 19 years, working his way up from server to district manager, Roman Espinoza founder & CEO of Cal Eats decided to open a location for himself. "I've learned first hand that creating consistent high quality experience for my customers comes from the integrity of the whole operation," he shares. Cal Eats 'food for Californians' is now feeding burrito enthusiasts at Cedar Spring plaza, Newark Ca.
Meet the Business Owner
Roman Espinoza was born in Michoacan, Mexico and was raised in Oakland California.
He has worked in the restaurant business since the age of 16. Began his career as pizza maker in Orinda Ca. Worked his way up the ranks to become the first store manager at the age of 18 for well known Gourmet burrito company in the Bay Area. Shortly thereafter became the youngest district manager to oversee multiple locations. In spring of 2014 Roman decided it was time to cut the corporate cord and opened his own location.
